    Attendee Testimonials

Thank you to all the speakers for making this such a memorable and impactful experience for so many of your peers. Here are just a few comments attendees had:

I appreciated not only the connection to real world experiences but also the community connection. Engaging students into a partnership that is meaningful where they can see an outcome for their work. Thank you for the resources.

Seeing the various creative responses from students made me TEAR UP. I was moved to TEARS, y’all! This was an incredible session to hear about student brilliance and get ideas for incredible math projects. I can’t wait to try these!

Seeing the scaffold from very simple, real-world explanations for complex math questions was SO interesting—and hearing more about the math of music was a joy.

It’s good to know how to inspire and equip teachers to design and implement mathematics tasks that are both cognitively demanding and culturally relevant to foster deep learning for all students.

Great examples and explanations highlighting the need for educators to increase their content knowledge, engage students ACTIVELY and with high expectations, as well as incorporate student home cultures into instruction.

Thank you to our program committee!
