How to Register

  • Online     More information here. Credit card required for registration.
  • Phone     Call (888) 241-8406 or (972) 349-7476 with your credit card information.
    Registration is open Monday-Friday, 7 a.m. – 7 p.m., central time.
  • Mail your Registration form and payment information to:

  • Fax your Registration form with credit card information or purchase order to (972) 349-7715.

Methods of Payment

NCTM will accept the following methods of payment:
• Checks: made payable to NCTM in U.S. dollars
• Credit cards: American Express, Mastercard and Visa
• Purchase orders: A signed original must be mailed with the registration form.

Registration Rates

Registering after March 20

If your registration is received after March 20, you will be charged the regular conference rates (see fees below.) You will receive a confirmation by mail, e-mail, or fax, which you may bring to the Express Check-In desk to receive your badge and materials. If you have not received your confirmation before leaving for the conference, please call (888) 241-8406 or (972) 349-7476 to confirm your registration.

Notes

NCTM member discounted fee $285 Current, full individual members, e-members, and e-member teachers from a K-8 member school qualify.
Full conference fee/nonmember $361 Includes a one-year NCTM individual membership with choice of school journal. Does not apply to current members renewing their membership or those who have registered under a group discount. Nonmember individuals from K-8 schools and other institutional members may attend at this rate.
Group discounted fee n/a For groups preregistering five or more attendees for the full conference, registering at the same time, using one form of payment, and with confirmations being sent to one mailing address. No refunds will be processed for those eligible to qualify for a lower rate, yet register with the group. Submit the Group Discount Preregistration Form on page 14 to register. Group registrations will not be accepted after the preregistration deadline of March 13 and are not available on-site.
NCTM member discounted one-day fee $227 Current, full individual members, e-members, and e-member teachers from a K-8 member school qualify.
One-day fee/nonmember $262 Does not include an NCTM membership.
NCTM emeritus member $207 NCTM life members may also register at the emeritus member rate.
NCTM student member $124 Must verify student status.
Student nonmember $184 Must verify student status. Does not include an NCTM membership.
Guest (nonteaching person) $186 Must accompany paying registrant.
Regular Presession $96  
Student Presession $48 Must verify student status.

On-site Registration Information

Come to the on-site registration area in the Walter E. Washington Convention Center to register or to pick up badges and program books. If you preregistered and received your badge by mail, you do not need to come to the registration area.

Hours of registration will be as follows:

Wednesday, April 22     8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Thursday, April 23         7:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Friday, April 24              7:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Saturday, April 25         7:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m.

Research Presession

If you are planning to attend both the Research Presession and the Annual Meeting, follow the registration instructions at the top of this page.

If you are planning on attending only the Research Presession you can register by calling (888) 241-8406 or (972) 349-7476, Monday-Friday, 7 a.m.-7 p.m., Central Time. You can also register on-site April 20 and 21.

Program Books

Program books will not be mailed and can be picked up on-site. Registrants who would prefer to have the program book mailed to them two weeks prior to the meeting can mark the check off box provided on the registration form. A $15 fee will be charged to those who receive a program book prior to the meeting and request an additional copy on-site at the conference.

Badges

Badges must be worn to enter all sessions and the Exhibit Hall. A $10 fee will be charged to replace badges during the meeting.

Cancellations

Registration Fee – If you need to cancel your registration, NCTM will refund fifty percent (50%) of your registration fee IF your written cancelation request, explaining your circumstances and enclosing your badge (if you received one), is received by the cancellation deadline, close of business on April 10, 2009. Please note that telephone requests and requests received after the deadline cannot be honored. Please allow four to six weeks for your refund to be processed. NCTM speakers do not qualify for refunds.

Research Presession – Refunds will not be given for any Research Presession cancellations.
