Mathematics Teacher: Learning and Teaching PK-12 (MTLT) is
devoted to supporting the enhancement and improvement of mathematics teaching
and learning for each and every learner both inside and outside of the
classroom. MTLT reflects the current practices of mathematics education, as
well as maintaining a knowledge base of practice and policy in looking at the
future of the field. Content is aimed at preschool to 12th grade with
peer-reviewed and invited articles.
The editorial structure approved by the NCTM Board in
February 2017 is an editorial board comprising an editor-in-chief with
associate editors who report to the editor-in-chief and are selected by the
editor-in-chief based on grade-band and subject matter expertise. The Content and Learning Advisory Committee (CLAC), in
its oversight role of the journal, is responsible for reviewing and approving
the slate of associate editors who will serve either a two- or three-year term.
