Salandra Grice, M.Ed., is an educator and founder of
Conscious Education Consulting, LLC. She is also the Executive Director for
Conscious Educators for Equity (a 501(c)(3) nonprofit). She provides dynamic
professional development experiences for teachers and schools in culturally
inclusive and equity-focused practices. She is also the author of two books The
Conscious Educator: Becoming Culturally Responsive Teachers and Schools and
her newest release Embrace, Empower, Educate, and Include: Four Principles
of Equity for Conscious Educators and Schools. Salandra has also published
articles in the Journal of Critical Race Inquiry and other works as well. She
is an Associate Editor of The Lighthouse Almanac Journal and is currently
obtaining a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction in Multicultural Education at
Texas A&M University. Salandra has over a decade of classroom experience
and her journey as a student, an educator, and a parent have helped shape her
approaches in helping educators create high-quality, caring, positive, and
equitable school experiences for EVERY student.
