It's More Than Just References

In July 2001, the American Psychological Association (APA) released its fifth edition of the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association
(APA, 2001). To many, this tome is simply a repository of information on references and style. Thus, the release of the newest edition of the Publication Manual
may offer a useful occasion for both examining changes and reexamining issues that deserve attention. I am here to let you know that the APA Publication Manual
is more than just a guide to references. This editorial is about what the Publication Manual is and is not.
