Accessibility and Inclusion

Accessibility-Inclusion

NCTM supports a safe and respectful environment that is focused on building a better community during your conference experience. We strive to host inclusive, accessible events that enable all individuals, including individuals with disabilities, to engage fully.

NCTM includes the following in the conference planning process:

  • The Opening Session will have live ASL interpretation with reserved seating in the front of the session room.

  • NCTM contracts with ASL agencies to secure Interpreters for onsite services. NCTM actively seeks to meet the needs of attendee accommodation during presentations.

  • NCTM requires speakers to use microphones in all sessions.

  • NCTM works with onsite audio-visual technicians to ensure speakers enable captioning on presentations.

  • Our hotel team works with attendees who require special accommodation.

  • NCTM will provide a quiet room for attendees during the conference. A quiet room is a space where you can experience complete tranquility. By blocking out all external noise and distractions, a quiet room allows you to relax and recharge while onsite.

  • All visual information presented during the keynote and sessions will be communicated verbally. We have asked speakers to verbally communicate what is presented on their slides.

  • NCTM works with local businesses to provide scooter rentals for onsite mobility needs.

  • Attendees will have access to a lactation room.

  • There will be gender-neutral restrooms located throughout the event space.

  • NCTM’s Event Code of Conduct outlines expectations for all attendees, speakers, sponsors, exhibitors, service providers, and volunteers (collectively, “participants”) at NCTM virtual and in-person events.

If you are attending with a colleague who will be providing sighted assistance to you during the conference, please contact [email protected]

Unlike online discounters, NCTM will never charge you a booking or service fee.

Benefits of Reserving with NCTM

  • Save money with low, negotiated rates at NCTM conference hotels. Official NCTM hotels have guaranteed the lowest rates during the conference.
  • Experience the best networking opportunities and meet leaders in education.
  • Book with confidence knowing that all hotels have been inspected and approved by NCTM, and our official housing provider, MCI USA (formerly Wyndham Jade), will assist you with any hotel challenges from booking to on-site.

Beware of False and Fraudulent Housing Claims

NCTM has designated MCI USA as the only housing provider for the NCTM 2025 Spring Conference. There are fraudulent companies and organizations that will try to present themselves as official partners of NCTM and offer you a potential room that might not be guaranteed or available. Should you be contacted by someone other than MCI USA (formerly Wyndham Jade) or NCTM, please let us know by calling 972-349-7476 or emailing us at [email protected].
